Warframe Gets The Old Peace in 2025, Tau Expansion in 2026

During TennoCon 2025, Digital Extremes announced what’s coming next to Warframe, with The Old Peace arriving later this year and the monumental Tau Narrative Chapter coming in 2026.

The Old Peace: Journey to the Past

The Old Peace will usher players into the past, where they will relive the long-forgotten tale of Tau and his childhood friend, Adis, and the war between the Orokin and their creations, the Dax Anarch Warriors (a new enemy faction), on the Perita moon.

This operator-focused quest continues Warframe’s current “Void War” story arc while setting up the epic Tau chapter.

Major Updates Coming to Warframe

New Characters and Visual Upgrades

The Devil’s Triad side story introduces three new characters: Father Lyon Allard (Protoframe of Harrow), Marie Leroux (Protoframe of Wisp), and Uriel (the new devil-themed Warframe).

Visual improvements include remastered Operator character models, enhanced facial animations, and a new Ultimate ability for enhanced gameplay depth.

Fall 2025: Quality of Life Revolution

The untitled Fall update will continue improving the new player experience with a new Mod tutorial Quest called The Teacher, developed in collaboration with Sumo Digital, plus the 62nd Warframe and long-awaited Oberon rework.

Mobile Gaming Expansion

The Android closed beta for Warframe will arrive this Fall, with sign-ups available now at warframe.com/android. This marks Warframe’s ambitious expansion into mobile gaming.

The roadmap positions Warframe for continued growth, offering both veteran players deep narrative content and newcomers improved accessibility through mobile platforms and enhanced tutorials.
