Vivo X80 Series launched globally with the MTK Dimensity 9000 SoC

The Vivo X80 Series has officially launched globally today in Malaysia. The device was first released in China and the Vivo X80 Series arrives with multiple features that are all industry firsts in the smartphone market. The Series will arrive with the first MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip and it will also be the first to have a Vivo V1+ imaging sensor.

Vivo X80 specifications:

The Vivo X80 features a curved AMOLED display on the front along with a flat glass back panel on the rear with a rectangular ceramic camera island on top. It has a 6.78″ FHD+ display with a peak brightness of 1000 nits, it has a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut.

The Vivo X80 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip that has been paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 4GB Virtual RAM, and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The device packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 80W charging.

As per Vivo, the device will go from 0 to 50% within 11 minutes and can charge fully within 34 minutes. In the optics department, the Vivo X80 also comes with Vivos first in-house ISP, the Vivo V1+. Vivo has claimed that this when paired with the Dimensity 9000 allows the company to produce newer and better smartphone camera algorithms to produce the best image output.

The X80 has a triple camera setup on the rear with a 50MP Sony IMX866 sensor with an f/1.75 aperture, OIS stabilization, and an RGBW color setup. It has a 12MP ultrawide angle secondary lens with a 12MP telephoto lens and 2x optical zoom. Zeiss has coated the lenses with T* coating technology in order to reduce ghosting and stray light. Your device will capture more natural colors and other finer details while you use the device. On the front, it has a 32MP selfie shooter

The device has a linear X-axis motor along with dual top-bottom firing stereo speakers for an amazing sound experience. The device runs on Android 12 OS with Funtouch OS 12 on top.

The Vivo X80 is available in Cosmic Black and Urban Blue colors, it has been priced at $800 or 61,982 INR for the 12GB+256GB version.

Vivo X80 Pro specifications:

The Vivo X80 Pro arrives with a design similar to the X80. It has a curved AMOLED display as well on the front, a flat matte glass panel on the rear, IP68 water, and dust resistance rating, and a 6.78″ 2K 120Hz LTPO E5 Samsung AMOLED display. It has a 32MP selfie shooter that has been integrated into the punch-hole camera, the display has a peak brightness of 1,500 nits, 10-bit colors, and HDR10+ content.

The X80 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip that has been paired with 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 4GB extendable RAM, and 256GB of storage. The Vivo X80 Pro is equipped with a 4,700mAh battery that has been paired with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless FlashCharge charging.

In the optics department, it features the new Vivo V1+ ISP along with a quad-camera setup on the rear. It has a 50MP ultra-sensing Samsung GNV sensor with OIS stabilization. Apart from this, it has a 48MP ultrawide angle sensor, a 12MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP periscope lens.

The device has the same flagship X-axis linear motor along with dual top-bottom firing stereo speakers and it will run on Android 12 with Funtouch OS 12. The Vivo X80 Pro arrives in Cosmic Black color and will be priced at $1,144 or 88,634 INR for the sole 12GB+256GB variant. It arrives with free gifts and a 2-year local manufacturer warranty.

The Series will release in India on the 18th of May.
