Vivo X70, Vivo X70 Pro, and Vivo X70 Pro+: Everything you need to know about this flagship series

Vivo is all set to launch their Vivo X70 series of smartphones globally on September 13, 2021. However, the company has launched the series in China now. This reveals the pricing and specifications of the series ahead of its global launch event. The series consists of three smartphones, namely the Vivo X70, Vivo X70 Pro and Vivo X70 Pro Plus. So here is everything you need to know about Vivo X70 Series.

Vivo X70 Specifications

The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo X70 runs Android 11-based OriginOS 1.0. The smartphone features a 6.56-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,376 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 19.8:9 aspect ratio, and HDR support. Under the hood, it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC paired with ARM G77 GPU, up to 12GB RAM, and up to 256GB onboard storage.

For optics, it gets a triple rear camera setup with a 40-megapixel primary Sony IMX766V sensor with an f/1.89 aperture lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor with an f/2.2 aperture lens, and a 12-megapixel portrait sensor with an f/1.98 aperture lens. Selfies and video calls will be handled by a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.45 aperture lens.

The smartphone packs a 4,400mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. The smartphone comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner as well. When it comes to dimensions, the device measures 7.5mm in thickness and weighs 181 grams.

Vivo X70 Pro Specifications

Vivo X70 Pro has a similar 6.56-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate display, punch-hole cutout, and flat edges. The phone will be powered by the Exynos 1080 paired with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage that is further expandable. It runs on Android 11 based OriginOS custom skin out of the box.

Moving to optics, the smartphone features a quad rear camera setup. The setup includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766V primary sensor alongside an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor. In addition, there are two 12-megapixel sensors as well in the setup for portrait and ultra-wide-angle shots, respectively. At the front, the device sports a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Vivo X70 Pro specs include a 4,450mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. The device also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner for security. Besides, it also packs all the essential connectivity options like Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, a USB Type-C port for charging and more. When it comes to the dimensions of the device, it measures 8mm in thickness and weighs 186 grams.

Vivo X70 Pro Plus Specifications

The Vivo X70 Pro Plus has been launched as the most high-end smartphone in the series. It sports a bigger 6.78-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED E5 curved display. In addition, the display comes with a fast 120Hz refresh rate on a 10-bit LTPO panel. The display comes with a peak brightness of 1500 nits and a pixel density of 517 PPI. Under the hood, the premium smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC. In addition, the octa-core flagship chipset pairs up with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.

When it comes to software, the device runs on Android 11 OS with the Origin OS 1 custom skin on top. The high-end device packs a 4,500mAh battery with 55W fast charging support. In addition, the device also comes with 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging support. The smartphone also comes with an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, which adds to the overall durability of the device.

Moving to cameras, the Vivo X70 Pro Plus features a quad rear camera setup. The setup includes a 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 primary sensor alongside a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 secondary sensor. In addition, there is an 8-megapixel telephoto sensor and a 12-megapixel portrait sensor as well. Now, the setup comes with Optical Image Stabilisation or OIS support as well. At the front, we get to see a 32-megapixel selfie shooter.

The vanilla Vivo X70 is priced at CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs. 42,100) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 45,500) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, and CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs. 49,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.

The Vivo X70 Pro is priced at CNY 4,299 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, CNY 4,599 (roughly rs. 52,400) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs. 54,700) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, and CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs. 57,000) for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant.

The Vivo X70 Pro Plus is priced at CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 62,700) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, CNY 5,999 (roughly Rs. 68,300) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, and CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs. 79,700) for the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant.

There are three colour options for the Vivo X70 and Vivo X70 Pro – Black, Nebula, and White. On the other hand, the Vivo X70 Pro Plus is offered in Black, Blue, and Orange colour options. The Vivo smartphones will be available to purchase later in September.
