Vivo V50 Lite 5G Bags Multiple Certifications, Tipped to Feature Dimensity 6300 SoC and Launch in Select Markets

The new Vivo phone with model number V2440 was spotted at FCC, SIRIM, and NBTC certification sites. We already learned that the V2440 is going to be called the Vivo V50 Lite 5G thanks to its SIRIM listing, while the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) listing shows it 4G-supported LTE and 5G as well as dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth, NFC, and more. No further hardware or software details are given in the NBTC listing. The certifications indicate that the Vivo V50 Lite 5G will be released in Malaysia and Thailand.

Back in December 2024, a leak appeared of what was known as the V2440 on Geekbench with the Jovi brand, the name believed to belong to Vivo’s new sub-brand. The Geekbench listing also hints that the Vivo V50 Lite 5G will have 12GB RAM and will ship with Android 15 by default. It adds that it features an octa-core with six cores clocked at 2.0GHz and two cores clocked at 2.40GHz alongside a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The various specifications suggest that the device could be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC under the hood.

The specifications of the global variant of Vivo V50 Lite 5G may differ from the Vivo 5G variant. Therefore, this information should be taken with some caution. Nevertheless, we can expect the launch soon since the device has already received multiple certifications. It is important to mention here that Vivo did not announce the Vivo V40 Lite in India which indicates that its successor may not arrive in the Indian market as well.
