vivo T5 5G India Launch Confirmed for September 2

vivo isn’t slowing down its T-series rollout. The vivo T5 5G launches in India on September 2, 2026, at 12 PM, joining an already busy lineup that includes the T5 Pro, T5 Lite, and T5x — and this time, the pitch is squarely about pairing a genuinely slim body with a battery that shouldn’t fit in it.

vivo T5 5G: Officially Confirmed Details

vivo has confirmed a solid chunk of specifications ahead of launch through its Flipkart microsite, though a few key numbers — RAM, storage, and exact charging speed — are still being held back for launch day.

A Genuinely Impressive Battery-to-Thickness Ratio

The headline spec here is vivo’s own claim: the vivo T5 5G is designed to be the slimmest phone in its segment carrying a battery above 7,000mAh. Packing a 7,050mAh cell into a 7.99mm-thick body is a real engineering achievement — most phones with batteries this large tend to be noticeably chunkier, so if vivo delivers on this claim, it could be a genuine differentiator in the sub-₹50,000 bracket.

Familiar Silicon, Familiar Face

The Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset and 7,050mAh battery aren’t unique to the T5 — the recently launched iQOO Z11 shares both specs, along with a strikingly similar rear design featuring the same pill-shaped camera housing and circular flash placement. Since vivo and iQOO share a parent company, this kind of internal component sharing is common, though it does mean the T5’s real differentiation will likely come down to software, pricing, and camera tuning rather than raw hardware. What’s Still Unconfirmed

Camera specifications, exact RAM/storage configurations, and fast-charging wattage haven’t been officially revealed yet. Various reports point to a 50MP main camera possibly paired with an ultra-wide and telephoto lens, and charging speeds anywhere between 44W and 100W depending on the source — treat these as informed estimates rather than confirmed numbers until vivo’s keynote.

Where It’s Likely to Land on Price

vivo has indicated the T5 5G will fall somewhere between ₹34,999 and ₹49,999, with the Dimensity 7500 Turbo-powered iQOO Z11 (starting at ₹34,999) serving as a useful reference point given the shared hardware platform.

What’s Next

With the launch just days away, expect vivo to reveal the remaining specs — camera setup, RAM/storage tiers, and final pricing — closer to September 2. Keep following our smartphone launches section for full confirmed details on launch day.
