Vinicius Jr’s Real Madrid Future Hangs in the Balance as Arsenal Circle

One of the summer’s most gripping sagas is reaching a decisive moment. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior are set for another crucial round of contract talks, with the Brazilian’s future at the Bernabeu still very much undecided as Arsenal wait in the wings.

Where Talks Currently Stand

Real Madrid have reportedly offered Vinicius a new deal worth around €22 million per season through 2031, with the club retaining 50% of his image rights. The Brazilian, however, is said to be seeking closer to €30 million annually along with control of nearly all his image rights — terms similar to those secured by Kylian Mbappé. Previous rounds of talks have failed to bridge that gap, according to Romano.

Arsenal Circling Closely

Arsenal have been strongly linked as an alternative destination, with reports suggesting the Gunners are prepared to make Vinicius the highest-paid player in the club’s history if Real Madrid talks collapse. Madrid president Florentino Pérez is reportedly seeking a fee north of €170 million, should a sale become necessary.
