A new crime drama is quietly taking shape at SBS, and the early names are already turning heads. Nothing is final yet, but here’s the full picture. For more casting scoops, keep browsing Technosports.

Pyramid: Overview

The Story

Pyramid follows Lee Jang Hoon, the brain behind the country’s largest financial fraud. The drama traces his whole journey, from dazzling rise to dramatic collapse. That’s rich ground for a gripping crime saga about ambition, greed and the people caught in the fallout.

The Names Behind It

Kang Han Na, the reported addition.
SPOTV News reported that she received an offer and has decided to take the role. Her agency, beyond J, only said she is positively reviewing it, so treat it as “in talks” for now. She’s also busy filming tvN’s upcoming Whale Star: The Gyeongseong Mermaid, which airs next year.

Yoon Kye Sang, the rumoured lead.
He was previously reported to play the central figure, but his agency hasn’t responded. Casting him as a charismatic schemer would be a fascinating choice, though we’ll wait for confirmation.

Director Park Sun Ho.
He’s known for the hit romantic comedies Business Proposal and Undercover Miss Hong. Moving into a darker crime story would be a bold change of pace, and it will be interesting to see how his sense of rhythm carries over.

Writer Park Kyung Soo.
He wrote the Netflix series The Whirlwind, so he already has experience crafting tense, plot-driven stories.

Why It’s Worth Watching

• A true-to-life feel. Financial-fraud stories hook viewers fast.
• A genre switch for the director. Fresh territory could bring fresh energy.
• A strong creative team. Writer and director both have proven track records.
