Vinicius Jr acquires Spanish passport after 4 years with Real Madrid

Vinicius Jr has received his Spanish passport after meeting the criteria needed to become a permanent resident. The player can now be registered as a European, and they have one extra non-EU spot open in their squad.

This was one of the reasons their move for Gabriel Jesus collapsed in the summer. The Brazilian ended up moving to Arsenal from Manchester City as a result. But now, Real Madrid can pursue another player from South America, such as Endrick, that they have been linked with.

Vinicius Jr registered in European quota by Real Madrid

The winger has been in fine form over the past season. He was essential to Real Madrid’s success in La Liga, and the Champions League. He scored the winning goal against Liverpool in the final, which led to their 14th title.

Los Blancos have awarded Vinicius Jr a new contract following his brilliant form. He is viewed as untouchable by the board and is a vital part of the future. This season, he has continued to showcase his end product, scoring three goals and providing one assist in four games.

The youngster has helped Carlo Ancelotti’s side to a perfect start in La Liga so far. And it now remains to be seen whether they can defend their title, since they are the favourites right now.
