The footage, which spread rapidly online, showed the hotel room in complete disarray. Other guests reportedly raised the alarm, prompting French police to intervene and take Laguna into custody.
Giovanni Laguna’s Side: “I Never Hit Her”
Hours later, Laguna broke his silence with a video of his own, insisting on his innocence.
“I never hit her or intentionally hurt her. I was released thanks to my version.”
He claimed the injury was accidental — he allegedly tripped over a lighting tripod while trying to grab her phone, causing the equipment to strike her. He added that during the struggle, Del Val hit him in the head with another phone, kicked him, and bit him.
“I didn’t do what she claims. That’s why I’m free, thanks to the authorities in France,” he stated.
Why This Story Matters?
This incident has ignited a fierce debate around safety, power dynamics, and accountability within the beauty pageant and fashion industry — spaces that often operate with limited public scrutiny.
