Vilhelm finally released its long-awaited Hearth & Home upgrade in September, and happily, creator Iron Gate Studio appears to be moving on to other things with a bit more haste. Today sees the release of a new patch, which features something new to slaughter in the Swamp biome as well as a cool-looking armor set. Iron Gate has also revealed some fascinating teaser photos for forthcoming content, including the massive Mistlands upgrade.

I won’t tell you what’s going on in the marshes, but here’s a peek at the “Root Armor” set you can make using the new materials you can get.
The few teaser photos for Valheim’s Mistlands upgrade, center on the new foggy biome that is presently in development. The images are an early look at the Mistlands, which were published in October, and also present the most recent look at the new biome, which was shared today.
But that’s not all Iron Gate is up to! In addition to the Mistlands, they’ve revealed many new cave systems and ruins that will be added to the Mountain biome, which “may or may not feature some lupine occupants.” Could these caverns be included in the next “Cult of the Wolf” update? Let’s wait and find out.
Vilhelm is currently available in Early Access on PC. The 0.205.5 update is now available for download. There is no news on when Mistlands and other big content additions will be released.
