Powerstar fans, this is your sign to book your tickets now. Ustaad Bhagat Singh is arriving a full week earlier than planned, and the Ugadi celebrations just got a whole lot louder.
Why Was Ustaad Bhagat Singh Preponed?
Originally scheduled for March 26, 2026, the makers of Ustaad Bhagat Singh officially advanced the release to March 19, 2026 — perfectly timed for the Ugadi festival. The decision came after Yash’s much-anticipated Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups postponed its release entirely, shifting to June 4, 2026 due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
With Toxic stepping aside, Ustaad Bhagat Singh now enjoys a clean, clash-free Ugadi window. The team announced it triumphantly: “This Ugadi, Ustaad will dominate.” And honestly, who’s going to argue with that energy? 🔥

What Is the Film About?
Ustaad Bhagat Singh centres on a powerful police officer in a completely original story — not a remake of any existing film, despite early reports suggesting otherwise. Director Harish Shankar himself clarified that comparisons to Vijay’s Theri are inaccurate. This is a brand-new narrative built for Pawan Kalyan’s mass appeal and screen presence.
Star-Studded Cast & Behind-the-Scenes Updates
The film boasts a packed ensemble with Sreeleela, Raashii Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, R. Parthiban, Posani Krishna Murali, and Gautami all in key roles — adding serious depth to an already heavyweight production.
One notable behind-the-scenes development: Devi Sri Prasad, who composed the film’s songs, was unavailable for background score duties due to prior commitments. Enter Thaman S, who previously collaborated with Pawan Kalyan on the gangster actioner They Call Him OG. His signature high-octane BGMs should be a perfect match for this action-packed cop drama. 🎵
