Uruguayan legend Luis Suarez joins Gremio

Luis Suarez has played for many big clubs during his career journey. His first club was Nacional, then he played for Groningen, and then in Ajax, his fourth club was Liverpool, his fifth club was Barcelona and in this club, he has his most appearances for a club, then in Atletico Madrid, then again in Nacional which was the first team of his career.

Luis Suarez joins Gremio

Now, Luis Suarez has joined one of the Brazilian Serie A clubs Gremio on a free transfer. He has joined Gremio on a two-year contract deal. This means he will play for the Gremio till 2025. The confirmation of the deal was announced on Saturday by the club.

“One of the biggest in Uruguay’s history, Luis Suarez is coming to continue his victorious trajectory,” Gremio said on social media.

“A top goal scorer, a multiple champion, and a fighter. Welcome, Luisito.”

“I wanted to thank you for all the love I have received,” the 35-year-old said in a video posted on social media. “We will meet shortly.”

Gremio will play against Sao Luiz by playing in the Recopa Gaucha Super Cup on 17th January.
