Hitman 3 trailer revealed at PS5 Reveal Event

IO Interactive’s next big game, Hitman 3 is one of the most anticipated games for a lot of Hitman series lovers out there. It will be launching on all platforms including PC and the developers have just confirmed the PC version of the game will be an Epic Games Store exclusive for a year after launch.

This is a bold move from Epic Games, who on one hand is facing issues with Apple and on the other hand, is just making its own store on PC more popular. Its the tradition of Epic Games Store to drop free games every week has attracted a bunch of gamers already and its massive giveaway was surely the GTA V and still, it is trying hard to use the money it gathers from Fortnite to invest in its game store.

So, it has strike a deal with IO Interactive to make Hitman 3, which releases on January 2021, an Epic Games Store exclusive. According to IO boss Hakan Abrak, “Self-publishing Hitman 3 is a big step for IO Interactive in achieving our highly ambitious goals as an independent studio.”

“Furthermore, this partnership with Epic has given us the freedom to create the game exactly as we imagined, for our fans and for our community uncompromised.

“For our long-term fans that have supported us on the World of Assassination journey, we’re happy to have mastery and location carryover from their existing progress into Hitman 3 on Epic Games Store.”

If you already have played Hitman and Hitman 2, IO Interactive has also used a carryover feature that allows you to use all your data over the previous games to Hitman 3, don’t worry it works with Steam copies of the game as well.

Meanwhile, Hitman (2016) will be up for free to download from 27th August to 3rd September on Epic Game Store, so if you have no idea about the past of Agent 47, you can easily play and have an idea and then wait for next year for Hitman 3.
