Episodes 9-10 Recap: Thailand Crisis Resolved

The Thailand arc concluded dramatically with Ma-jin’s bribery arrest and Typhoon Trading’s helmet confiscation. Despite Mi-seon’s desperate sprint to the docks and Tae-poong’s creative courtroom presentation using projected film negatives, most inventory was destroyed.

The emotional fallout brought pivotal character growth. Ma-jin apologized to Mi-seon for underestimating her capabilities based on gender, while Tae-poong finally confessed his feelings, leading to their first kiss. Their relationship evolved from professional partnership to romantic connection, though Mi-seon playfully noted he never officially asked her out.

The episode ended ominously with Pyo Bak-ho demanding repayment of a promissory note tied to Tae-poong’s late father, plus a mysterious missing page from the IOU book dated August 17—a discrepancy that threatens everything.
