Tulsa King is the story of New York mafia capo Dwight Manfredi, played by Sylvester Stallone. Tulsa King has given the Academy Award-nominated actor one of the biggest television roles of his career as New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi.

Tulsa King is not based on a true story. While the show is fictional, its premise, an old-school New York mafia capo banished to Oklahoma, is reminiscent of what happened to the real-life Inzerillo crime family. Once the leading crime family in Palermo, Italy, the Inzerillos were banished from their home and lived out their lives in New York.

Release Date

Tulsa King Season 4 premieres October 16, 2026, on Paramount+. The fourth season of the Sylvester Stallone-led crime drama will debut on October 16 on the streaming service, with new episodes dropping weekly thereafter.

The announcement was made on September 1, accompanied by a teaser trailer and a collection of first-look photos from the new season.

The Teaser Trailer

The Tulsa King Season 4 official teaser is out now. In the teaser, Stallone’s Dwight says: “You can’t get rid of me.”

Behind-the-Scenes Changes

The behind-the-scenes turnover continues with original showrunner Terence Winter returning yet again as head writer and executive producer. Winter’s return follows the exit of season three showrunner Dave Erickson, a veteran of creator Taylor Sheridan’s Mayor of Kingstown, who reportedly left the series after creatively conflicting with Stallone on the direction of the show.

Winter, known for The Wolf of Wall Street, has a long history with the show, having developed the series and served as showrunner during the first season.

New Addition: Gretchen Mol

The photos and teaser include new cast member Gretchen Mol, who has joined as a series regular for Season 4.
