Top 10 largest stadiums in the world

The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) in Australia and the Rungrado May First Football Stadium in North Korea are one of the most iconic sports stadiums in the world. But it isn’t the largest stadium any more! Do you know which is the world’s largest stadium?

India’s newly renovated cricket stadium, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium or commonly known as the Motera stadium, now renamed as Narendra Modi Stadium is the largest stadium in the world. It is situated in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in India. This is an unknown fact for many as this stadium isn’t as famous as the MCG, Lords, Wembley or Eden Gardens. Moreover, it got its tag of being the largest stadium in the world as recently as February 2020.
