Top 10 highest paid football players in 2022

Over time, football has evolved into a game centered around money. It’s unbelievable how much money teams and their players make in salaries, transfer fees, and other revenue. The top 5 leagues are getting richer and richer with each passing year. Financially speaking, the football industry is generally moving along nicely.

As of this now, the Premier League is in the lead in terms of finances and purchasing power. Due to FC Barcelona’s and Atletico Madrid’s financial issues, La Liga is currently having some difficulties.

The top 10 football players in the world according to salary in 2022 are listed below:

Sadio Mane: £350,000 per week

It was stunning to learn that Mane was moving to Bayern. The German league was the next challenge that Sadio Mane choose. The winger’s salary has increased from his previous Liverpool contract to £350,000 per week. He is now the highest-paid player in Germany thanks to his new contract.

In addition, Sadio hopes to establish himself rapidly. In eight appearances for Bayern Munich, the Senegal international has already scored five goals. Robert Lewandowski has left Bayern, but Mane’s addition has assured that the team’s assault is still strong. Mane, Leroy Sane, and Serge Gnabry’s attacking capabilities offer a significant threat.

Mohamed Salah: £350,000 per week

Mane’s surprising exit suggested that Liverpool will exert every effort to keep Mo Salah. They did a good job on this. As of now, Mohamed Salah makes £350,000 per week and has a deal with Liverpool that runs through 2025.

Salah is currently having some difficulty in light of his enormous expectations. Only twice have the Egyptian scored in six Premier League outings. Overall, Liverpool is having a lot of difficulties. Liverpool has dropped games to Manchester United and most recently Napoli 4-1. They may have had fewer attackers due to Sadio Mane’s absence.

Erling Haaland: £375,000 per week

In terms of talent, the young Norwegian player is on par with players like Kylian Mbappe. Haaland is unquestionably a player who belongs on this list. Haaland has a five-year contract with Manchester City, and his pay will probably rise yearly.

Haaland’s supporters frequently compared him to Darwin Nunez. These claims were made about a terrible preseason game in which Erling struggled. Erling, however, disproved everyone’s assumptions. In his first six Premier League outings, the forward has 10 goals. There are also two hat tricks in this.

David De Gea: £375,000 per week

One of Manchester United’s best and most devoted players is David De Gea. Manchester United’s demise is unbelievable. Many talented players quit the team, particularly when they were most needed.

It appeared that DDG’s journey was coming to an end after a discouraging loss in the Europa League championship game. However, David De Gea showed last season that he is among the top keepers.

Due to United’s weak defense, the Spanish goalkeeper has let up numerous goals. The backline and the team have made some progress under Erik Ten Hag. Raphael Varane’s improved form and the addition of Lisandro Martinez have greatly aided United.

Eden Hazard: £380,000 per week

Eden Hazard’s pay would have been appropriate if this had happened at Chelsea. That is not the case, though. Real Madrid now has one of the best-attacking players in the world thanks to Hazard’s move to Spain. But Hazard has struggled and fallen short at Madrid, largely due to a lack of fitness.

Only four goals have been scored by Hazard for Real Madrid in his three seasons there. In addition, he has only been able to make 50 appearances for Real Madrid in four years. Eden Hazard remains the 6th highest-paid player in the world despite all of this. The administration of Real Madrid may have faith in the superstar Belgian player, who wants to flourish this season.

Kevin De Bruyne: £400,000 per week

De Bruyne has extended his deal with Manchester City through 2025. The Belgian, who was once rejected by Chelsea, is currently among the top midfielders in the world.

The midfielder excels at both scoring goals and distributing assists. The £400,000 a year that Kevin De Bruyne makes is simply fair. De Bruyne’s season also appears to be improving with the addition of Erling Haaland. The Haaland-De Bruyne team has already begun to apply the pressure.

Cristiano Ronaldo: £480,000 per week

Since Erik Ten Hag made drastic changes at Manchester United, Ronaldo has been having trouble. Ronaldo is not in EtH’s plans, even though the changes are benefiting the team. In the last seven games for United, Cristiano has played just 297 minutes and hasn’t scored. Ronaldo used to make £515,000 a year, but his weekly salary has decreased a little bit.

Nevertheless, despite United’s failures in the previous season, Ronaldo did not disappoint. Cristiano led Manchester United in goals with 24 in 38 games. He also recorded two hat-tricks, one against Norwich and one against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Portuguese also made a significant contribution to the Champions League. In the Champions League, he scored two dramatic goals against Villarreal and Atalanta.

Neymar Jr: £606,000 per week

2010 saw the debut of the Brazilian superstar in the news. He achieved a rare feat by making the top ten of the Ballon D’Or list while competing in Sao Paulo. Once more making news was Neymar’s £200 million move from Barcelona to PSG.

A team of superstars has been put together by a club with the resources of Paris Saint-Germain. Neymar Jr. receives an astounding £606,000 every week from PSG. Neymar is undoubtedly demonstrating his abilities every season, despite the animosity directed at him. In 152 games with PSG, Neymar has accumulated 109 goals and 67 assists overall.

Lionel Messi: £960,000 per week

Lionel Messi earns an astounding £960,000 per week, making him the second highest paid footballer in the world. Despite his best efforts, Lionel Messi was finally forced to leave his home team FC Barcelona.

Messi struggled in his debut season with PSG. The Argentine scored 11 goals and had 15 assists in 34 games with PSG. Although these figures are excellent for any player, they are not exceptional for someone like Messi.

He hopes to rekindle his deadly attacking duo with Neymar Jr. this year. Messi has already recorded four goals and eight assists in his first eight appearances for PSG this season.

Kylian Mbappe: £1,600,000 per week

The inclusion of three PSG players on the list is hardly shocking. Mbappe makes entirely too much money for a player, though. At Paris Saint-Germain, the French superstar makes £1.6 million a week.

Earlier this year, Kylian Mbappe passed up the opportunity to sign with his ideal team, Real Madrid. You can infer why from PSG’s expensive offer to keep Mbappe. Additionally, the team is centered around the World Cup champion from last year.

His deal, worth £1.6 million per week, is the highest-paying one in football history. Mbappe is still one of the top players in the world despite his ego. This season, Mbappe has six games and nine goals for PSG. The MNM (Messi-Neymar-Mbappe) is visible in play during the most recent games.
