Indian Premier League (IPL) is a blessing for the cricketers and also the board, BCCI, as it is often called the cash-rich T20 League in the world that even some players earn more money than what they get from their respective country’s cricket board.

1. MS Dhoni

IPL Earnings – Rs 152.8 crore

Dhoni has been playing for Chennai Super Kings and, later on for Rising Pune SuperGaints, and when CSK returned from the ban he came back to the franchise and continued leading the team. Dhoni has 4632 runs to his long list of achievements in 204 IPL matches and 113 catches and 13 stumpings. Remarkably, Dhoni is the only player to touch the 150 crore club in IPL and will continue to lead CSK in IPL 2021.

2. Rohit Sharma

Previous Team – Deccan Chargers

IPL Earnings – Rs 146.6 crore

Rohit has previously played for Deccan Chargers and is currently captaining Mumbai Indians. He is the most successful captain, who led MI to five IPL trophies. He has 5230 runs in his bag in 200 IPL matches and will continue to captain MI in IPL 2021.

3. Virat Kohli

Current Team -Royal Challengers Bangalore

Previous Team – Royal Challengers Bangalore

IPL Earnings – Rs 143.2 crore

Virat Kohli has only played for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL and is the top scorer in IPL having 5878 runs to his name in 192 IPL matches. He will continue to lead RCB in IPL 2021.

4. Suresh Raina

Current Team – Chennai Super Kings

Previous Team – Gujarat Lions

IPL Earnings – Rs 110.74 crore

Often called Mr IPL, Suresh Raina has played for Chennai Super Kings and also for Gujarat Lions, and has hit 5368 runs in 193 IPL matches. He has been retained by CSK for IPL 2021.

5. AB de Villiers

ABD, also known as Mr 360 has 4849 runs in 169 IPL matches at a strike rate of 151.91 and has previously played for Delhi Capitals. For IPL 2021 he has been retained by the Bengaluru giants

6. Sunil Narine

7. Gautam Gambhir

Kolkata Knight Riders clinched their first-ever IPL title in 2012 under Gambhir’s captaincy and again bagged another title in 2014.  He has also played for Delhi Capitals. He has 4217 runs to his name in 154 IPL matches. He announced retirement from IPL in 2018.

8. Yuvraj Singh

Yuvraj Singh, who took retirement after IPL 2019 has played for several teams including Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Mumbai Indians, Pune Warriors, RCB and SRH and has scored 2750 runs and bagged 36 wickets in 132 IPL matches.

9. Robin Uthappa

Uthappa has played for many IPL Franchises including Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians, Pune Warriors, RCB, KKR and is bought by CSK in IPL 2021. He has a score sheet of 4607 runs in 189 IPL matches.

10. Shane Watson

Current Team – Retired

Previous Team – Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings

IPL Earnings – Rs 77.13 crore

Watson has 3874 runs and picked 92 wickets in 145 IPL matches to his name and has played for several teams like RR, RCB and CSK in his IPL career. Watson recently concluded his career after announcing retirement from IPL after 2020 season.
