Operating in real time with lives on the line and the threat escalating at every turn, Jack reunites with battle-tested CIA operative Mike November and former CIA boss James Greer, their combined experience the only edge they have against an enemy who knows their every move.
The teaser establishes that Jack is no longer working with the CIA and initially aims to stay out of the line of fire, only to be pulled back into action when old friend James Greer requests his help in taking down a radicalized military group spreading fear and chaos.
Director Andrew Bernstein’s Feature Debut
Directed by Andrew Bernstein, the film represents his very first movie after directing television for decades, including episodes from shows like “The Right Stuff,” “Foundation,” “Ozark,” “The Nevers,” “The Diplomat,” and “IT: Welcome to Derry”. The experienced television director brings his expertise in high-tension narratives to the feature format.
Jack Ryan Franchise Legacy
Ghost War is the sixth film in the Jack Ryan franchise, based on the fictional character from prolific author Tom Clancy. Previous theatrical adaptations featured Alec Baldwin in The Hunt for Red October, Harrison Ford in Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger, Ben Affleck in The Sum of All Fears, and Chris Pine in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit.
Real-Time Thriller Format
The film adopts a real-time narrative structure, where events unfold in accelerated timeframes that amplify tension and urgency. The teaser promises a relentless, edge-of-your-seat experience where decisions must be made in seconds and mistakes have immediate, catastrophic consequences.
