So Where Did This Rumour Come From?
A screenshot from a Letterboxd page posted by user @AbhayCuts on X went viral, listing the alleged biopic with full cast and crew details. It looked convincing. It had director names, cast names, a release year, everything. There was just one problem — none of it was real.
No studio has confirmed a Ronaldo biopic. Cristiano Ronaldo has made no such announcement. And both Chalamet and Garfield are already locked into their own upcoming projects, leaving little room for a multi-year biopic commitment.
Chalamet, fresh off his Bob Dylan and Wonka runs, has not teased any footballer role. Garfield, meanwhile, stars in The Magic Faraway Tree releasing March 27, 2026 — hardly the schedule of a man about to embark on playing Messi.

What IS Real — Ronaldo’s Own Film Studio
Here’s where it gets genuinely exciting. In 2025, Cristiano Ronaldo launched his own independent film production company — URMarv — in collaboration with British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman, Kick-Ass). The studio’s stated focus is on “embracing innovative technology, with a nod to tradition.”
