Thor has a new helmet, and fans noticed immediately. Before you rush to the theatre, though, there’s a catch: the helmet debuts in a Disney Parks ride, not in Avengers: Doomsday. Here’s the full picture.

Where the Helmet Comes From?
Marvel Studios and Disney Parks unveiled the ride’s cast at the D23 Expo’s Disney Experiences Showcase. Thor appears in a new armored helmet that has never been seen in the MCU. Riders become “recruits” on a Multiverse mission against King Thanos. Ms. Marvel gives the pre-mission briefing, while Thor helps guide recruits and suits up for action himself.
Don’t Expect It in Doomsday
Kevin Feige confirmed that the ride footage was captured on the Doomsday set. Even so, Hemsworth wears a totally different costume there. So, as The Direct points out, fans shouldn’t read this as a sign of a helmet in the movie, despite years of requests.
The ride suit looks closest to the one from Thor: The Dark World, minus the sleeves, although Thor never wore a helmet in that film.

Thor has rarely worn his iconic headgear on screen:

According to the report, the Doomsday trailers make Thor one of the film’s leads. He reunites with Steve Rogers, faces Doctor Doom and delivers a rousing speech to the united heroes. Fans also hope for a Thor and Loki reunion.
There’s speculation about Thor’s fate too. The article suggests a death could be saved for Secret Wars, where Doom’s “Thor Corps” appears in the comics. But Hemsworth has hinted he’ll play Thor a couple more times after Avengers 5, which keeps hopes alive for a Thor 5. None of this is confirmed.
