Upcoming Intel ARC Alchemist DG2-128 GPU to come with a 35W TDP

Intel is all set to formally announce its new ARC Alchemist Gaming GPUs tomorrow as a part of its CES 2022 keynote and one of its highly anticipated GPUs that has been leaked a couple of times previously, i.e. the Intel Arc Alchemist A380, an entry-level discrete GPU, has been leaked on SiSoftware.

Now, this gives us some more info about the GPU just ahead of launch while also helping us get an idea of the performance we can expect of this entry-level gaming GPU. It is now confirmed to feature 1024 FP32 shadings units or 128 EUs while its lower-end SKU, the A350 will eventually come with a cut-down DG2-128EU GPU and 96 Execution Units.

As you see there are multiple scores of the GPU on the SiSoftware benchmark, however, it is evident that Intel is targeting the budget gamers that account for most of the GPU market with ARC Alchemist GPUs. However, do not draw any conclusion about the performance as we do not know if this GPU was tested with final drivers or not.

In the benchmark, you will see this Intel Arc A380 scoring 2870 Mpix/s in General Purpose GPU processing and as Videocardz points out, this falls in between the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti and RTX 3050 Laptop GPUs.

So, most probably it could be guessed that Intel will reserve the DG2-128EU GPU graphics for the A300 series while the higher-end 512EU GPU could use a different naming convention. Well, you won’t have to scratch your heads anymore as tomorrow you will know every spec also price may be at the formal launch itself.
