Who Is Anwar Aroussi?

Aroussi is a British actor trained at both the Identity School of Acting and The Unseen Acting School — two well-regarded institutions for serious screen performers. While he’s still building his profile, Bridgerton is the kind of global stage that changes careers overnight.

His recent credits include the Amazon MGM feature Close Personal Friends (2025) and the upcoming film The Reformation of Sister Edith (2026), where he plays Lincoln. Lord Swallow could well be his breakout moment.

So… Who Is Lord Swallow?

Shondaland is keeping details firmly under wraps — as expected. What we do know is that whenever a new “Lord” arrives in the ton, you can usually count on one of three things:

A potential suitor stirring up romantic drama
A rival clashing with the Bridgerton siblings
A society player caught in Lady Whistledown’s web

He joins three other recently confirmed Season 5 additions — Gemma Knight Jones, Jacqueline Boatswain, and Tega Alexander — rounding out what’s shaping up to be a rich ensemble.

Bridgerton is one of the most-watched period dramas in Netflix history. If you’re new to the franchise, learn more about the period drama genre on Wikipedia to understand why it continues to dominate global streaming charts.

What’s Bridgerton Season 5 Actually About?

Netflix has confirmed that Francesca and Michaela will be the central romantic pairing for Season 5 — a storyline fans have been eagerly anticipating since its hints in earlier seasons. Production is running at full steam through the summer, with behind-the-scenes glimpses already teasing the return of Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton.
