Prime Video has released the official trailer for “The Terminal List” Season 2, confirming Chris Pratt’s return as Navy SEAL Commander James Reece nearly four years after the show’s record-breaking debut. All eight episodes will premiere on Wednesday, October 21.

What Season 2 Is About

Season 2 adapts Jack Carr’s second novel in the franchise, “True Believer,” picking up after Reece completed his revenge mission from Season 1 and finished his terminal list. Following a pardon offer from the President, Reece searches for a new purpose, only to be pulled back into action after a new terrorist organization carries out a series of attacks in London. He’s tasked with hunting down a former friend, Mo Farooq (Dar Salim), and in the process uncovers a conspiracy that reaches from Moscow to Langley, with unexpected ties to his own family’s history.

What was a contained psychological revenge story in Season 1 expands dramatically in scope this season, taking Reece across the Indian Ocean, through Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. He’s also haunted throughout by his onetime friend Ben Edwards, played by Taylor Kitsch.

The Trailer

The newly released trailer opens with Reece living in isolation before being pulled back into the field once attacks begin unfolding in London. It leans heavily into the globe-trotting espionage angle that separates this season from the first, positioning the show closer to a full-blown international conspiracy thriller than a straightforward hunt for vengeance.

The Cast

Pratt leads once again as James Reece, joined by Tom Hopper returning as Raife Hastings, Constance Wu as Katie Buranek, Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq, and Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry. New additions this season include Gabriel Luna as Freddy Strain, along with Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, Jeremy Bobb, and Shiraz Tzarfati, rounding out an international ensemble befitting the season’s expanded scope.

Pratt executive produces through Indivisible Productions alongside Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick of Hill District Media, author Jack Carr, former Army Ranger Max Adams, and former Navy SEAL Jared Shaw. David DiGilio serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer.

Behind the Scenes

Pratt described the season as a tribute to the special operations community, calling the two-plus years of work behind it a monumental effort and saying he hopes viewers can feel that commitment in every frame. He added that while the show remains an action thriller at its core, this season carries real emotional weight, dedicated to the people who operate in the shadows and rarely receive recognition for their sacrifices.

Production wrapped in Toronto, with filming for the season concluding in March 2026 — a long gap since Season 1 that was bridged by the 2026 prequel series “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf,” starring Taylor Kitsch, which is already streaming on Prime Video.

Why It Matters

Season 1 was a genuine breakout hit for Prime Video when it debuted in July 2022, and the near-four-year wait for a follow-up has only built anticipation further. With an expanded international scope, a stacked new cast, and Pratt himself calling this his most personally significant season yet, “The Terminal List” Season 2 looks positioned to be one of Prime Video’s biggest action releases of the year.
