The Paper Season 2: Everything You Need to Know Before the Toledo Truth Teller Returns

The Toledo Truth Teller is back, and this time, its ragtag newsroom actually has something to prove. The Paper Season 2 drops on Peacock this week, bringing back the mockumentary charm that made The Office spinoff an unexpected hit — and yes, all ten episodes arrive at once.

The Paper S2: When and Where to Watch

The Paper Season 2 premieres Wednesday, September 9, 2026, exclusively on Peacock. True to Season 1’s release strategy, it’s a full binge drop — no weekly wait required.

US viewers can stream starting 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET, while UK fans can catch it via Sky and NOW from around 8 a.m. BST.

Who’s Back in the Newsroom

Domhnall Gleeson returns as the endlessly hopeful editor Ned Sampson, alongside Chelsea Frei, Sabrina Impacciatore, and a returning Oscar Nuñez as Oscar Martinez — the clearest link back to The Office. Season 1 landed a solid 85% on Rotten Tomatoes, setting real expectations for this follow-up.

What’s the Story This Time?

After the Toledo Truth Teller unexpectedly sweeps the Ohio Journalism Awards, Ned goes hunting for his next big story — targeting a powerful local private club in a plot that risks the paper’s future. Meanwhile, Ned and Mare navigate the fallout of their awards-night kiss, and the newsroom staff slowly transform from bumbling amateurs into something resembling real reporters. Expect chaos involving a tornado watch, a gun range, and a podcast gone wrong.

Should You Binge or Ration It?

With a tighter, more character-driven plot than Season 1, The Paper Season 2 seems built for a one-sitting binge. Whether you burn through all ten episodes on day one or space them out, the Toledo Truth Teller’s chaotic charm is back in full force.
