Winning the lottery is supposed to change everything overnight. In “The Ordinary Jackpot,” it changes something far more interesting — the way one man shows up at work. New stills from the webtoon-based drama reveal Lee Jun Hyuk and Seo Hyun Woo, once bitter office rivals, starting to find genuine common ground as colleagues.

The series follows Gong Eun Tae (Lee Jun Hyuk), an ordinary sales employee who wins a lottery jackpot worth 1.3 billion won (roughly $950,000). Rather than quit his job, he returns to work the next day with a completely transformed mindset — and that shift is now reshaping his entire team.

From Rivals to Reluctant Teammates

For years, Gong Eun Tae suppressed his frustrations at work, quietly enduring a grueling job as head of Sales Team 5. His unexpected lottery win doesn’t push him toward an early retirement — instead, it pushes him to stop tolerating everything and start pushing back. That decision has visibly shifted his dynamic with Yang Joon Ho (Seo Hyun Woo), his once-constant rival, who now appears noticeably softer in the new stills, while Gong Eun Tae looks almost uneasy adjusting to the sudden change in tone.

One particularly telling still shows the two former rivals welcoming a client together, working in sync for what appears to be the first time. Meanwhile, teammates Park Ki Tae (Hong Jin Ki) and Lee Ji Hye (Ha Yul Ri) — who previously had to tiptoe around the tension between their bosses — look nervously hopeful as the team’s new project unfolds.

A Mysterious Meeting Raises Questions

Adding intrigue to the mix, the stills also capture a private meeting between Jung Sun Hyuk (Oh Dae Hwan) and Park Ki Tae, held outside their company, Hongsung International. With Park Ki Tae looking innocent and Jung Sun Hyuk flashing a knowing smile, the scene hints at hidden motives that could complicate the team’s newfound harmony — a classic workplace-drama twist reminiscent of storytelling tropes seen across popular webtoon adaptations.
