The Odyssey Crosses Rs 208 Crore: Nolan’s Epic Just Became His Biggest India Hit Ever

Four weeks in, and Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey is still cruising steadily at the Indian box office. The film added Rs 19.50 crore in its fourth week, taking the total domestic gross to a solid Rs 208.25 crore — and with only a 32% week-on-week drop, that’s a genuinely healthy hold for a month-old release.

Here’s the real headline though: The Odyssey has now officially become Christopher Nolan’s highest-grossing film in India, overtaking Oppenheimer‘s full theatrical run. Add to that the fact that over two-thirds of its collections came from IMAX screens, making it the highest-grossing IMAX film in the country to date.

How Far Can It Go?

Starring Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, and Robert Pattinson, the epic has held its own even against Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which currently dominates Indian screens. Trade trackers expect The Odyssey to close its run somewhere between Rs 215 crore and Rs 225 crore gross, a strong number for an ensemble epic competing with fresh Bollywood releases like Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2.
