The Husband: Lee Seol’s Kidnapping Nightmare Sets Off KBS’s Most Nerve-Wracking Thriller Yet

One minute she’s asleep with an eye mask on. The next, she’s on a cold concrete floor, and nothing about her life will ever be the same.

That’s the gut-punch opening KBS 2TV just teased for “The Husband,” and it’s already got fans bracing for a sleepless premiere week.

What’s Actually Happening Here in The Husband?

New stills show Lee Seol’s character, hospital chairwoman Go Se Yoon, waking up startled after sensing someone in her bedroom. Moments later, she’s abducted — and the next time we see her, she’s a terrified kidnapping victim in an unfamiliar location. It’s the incident that pulls her neurosurgeon husband, Kang Tae Joo, played by Namkoong Min, into a fight he never saw coming.

Quick Facts

Why This One Feels Different

According to the production team, Go Se Yoon isn’t just a victim — she’s the character who sets off the chain reaction connecting everyone else in the story, including her estranged husband. That’s a lot of narrative weight for a premiere episode, and it’s exactly why “The Husband” is shaping up to be one of July’s most talked-about thrillers.
