The Fixers On Netflix: Meet The Gangster Turned Secret Problem-Solver

Temples, gangsters, and a shadowy fixer organization — Netflix’s next big international hit is shaping up to be one of the most distinctly Taiwanese stories the platform has released yet. The Fixers is landing soon, and here’s everything worth knowing before it drops.

When Does It Release?

The Fixers premieres globally and exclusively on Netflix on September 17, 2026. The Taiwanese action-comedy is directed by Hung Tzu-hsuan and Henri Chang, and produced by Cora Yim and Benjamin Lin.

The Fixers: Series Snapshot

What’s The Story About?

The plot follows Felix Chiang, a debt-ridden gangster going through a midlife crisis, who’s unexpectedly recruited into Ching He — a secretive organization run out of a centuries-old temple that quietly resolves disputes for criminals, politicians, and business elites alike. He’s paired with Louis Hsueh, a spoiled political heir, and the mismatched duo repeatedly clash while a third operative, Mina Shen, complicates their missions further. Things escalate when a rival faction, Yeh Yueh Tong, teams up with others to try to bring the century-old order crashing down.

The director shared that he hopes viewers walk away from temples wondering if a hidden doorway might lead somewhere unexpected. The choice of setting isn’t random either — Taiwanese temples have long doubled as informal community hubs, giving the fixer concept a grounded cultural anchor.

Who’s In It?

Christopher Lee headlines as Felix, marking a rare Netflix outing for the actor, known for films like All My Goddess and series such as Port of Lies. Shou Lou plays Louis Hsueh, previously seen in Million-Follower Detective, while Regina Lei rounds out the trio as Mina Shen. Supporting cast includes Fu Meng-po, Tou Chung-hua, Chang Yung-cheng, and Kelly Lin.

The series adds to Netflix’s growing slate of Taiwanese television productions, a market that’s steadily expanded its international streaming footprint in recent years.

This series arrives alongside a stacked Netflix September lineup, part of the platform’s growing push into Asian originals. If Taiwanese and Asian dramas are on your watchlist, check out more streaming guides and release breakdowns on TechnoSports.
