Not every K-pop story gets the long-running saga treatment, but for the five members of VVS, three years together was enough to leave a real mark. On September 14 KST, agency Wannabe Entertainment confirmed that the boy group has officially disbanded, closing out a chapter that began back in 2023.

What the Agency Announced

In an official statement, Wannabe Entertainment expressed deep gratitude to fans and confirmed the group’s activities have come to an end, out of respect for each member’s individual potential and future paths. The agency specifically thanked members Hyosung, Shinhwa, Layon, Allen, and Taeseok for consistently giving their best on stage throughout the group’s run.

The statement framed the decision not as a falling apart, but as a respectful close to one chapter — with the agency noting it will continue supporting each member as they move forward on their own individual paths.

VVS debuted in 2023 with the track “Bang Bang,” going on to release additional projects including “We On Top” and “Nothing Lasts Forever.” Over their three years as a group, they also performed across multiple countries, building a dedicated international fanbase along the way.

Q1. Why did VVS disband?

According to Wannabe Entertainment’s official statement, the decision to disband was made out of respect for each member’s individual potential and future career paths, rather than being attributed to any specific conflict or controversy. The agency framed it as a mutual and amicable conclusion to the group’s three-year run together, while expressing continued support for each member as they pursue new directions going forward.

Since debuting in 2023 with “Bang Bang,” VVS released several notable projects, including “We On Top” and “Nothing Lasts Forever,” and performed across multiple countries during their active years.
