With 124 episodes and four movies spanning across the seven deadly sins watch order, knowing where to start can be tricky. This comprehensive guide breaks down everything you need to binge this beloved anime series without confusion.

Seven Deadly Sins Watch Order Table

Season 1: Where the Legend Begins (24 Episodes)

The journey starts with The Seven Deadly Sins original season, introducing you to Meliodas and his legendary band of knights. When Princess Elizabeth seeks out these accused traitors to save the Kingdom of Liones from corrupt Holy Knights, an epic adventure unfolds. This season masterfully balances action, mystery, and character development while setting up the larger narrative.

Expect spectacular fights, emotional backstories, and the gradual assembly of all seven members. The animation by A-1 Pictures is stunning, making every battle sequence a visual treat. According to Netflix, this remains one of their most-watched anime series globally.

Signs of Holy War: The Controversial OVAs (4 Episodes)

Here’s where things get interesting! Season 2 technically consists of just four OVA episodes that bridge the gap between seasons one and three. While fans debate whether these deserve “season” status, they’re essential viewing that provides character development and sets up crucial plot points.

Think of these as a palate cleanser before the intensity that follows. For more anime recommendations in this genre, check out TechnoSports’ anime category.

Season 3: Revival of the Commandments (24 Episodes)

Widely considered the series’ peak, this season introduces fan-favorite Escanor and the terrifying Ten Commandments. As ancient demons break free from their seal, the stakes skyrocket. The animation quality here is exceptional, with fight choreography that rivals the best in shounen anime.

The emotional depth reaches new heights as characters confront their pasts and face seemingly insurmountable odds. This season perfectly balances humor, action, and heart-wrenching moments.

Prisoners of the Sky: A Non-Canon Adventure (99 Minutes)

While this movie doesn’t advance the main storyline, it’s an entertaining side quest featuring the Sins at their best. Set between seasons 3 and 4, it explores a mysterious sky realm with unique characters and high-flying action. Perfect for when you need a break from the main narrative’s intensity!

Season 4: Wrath of the Gods (24 Episodes)

The most controversial season due to the animation studio change from A-1 Pictures to Studio Deen, which affected visual quality. However, don’t let that stop you—the story itself remains compelling. Meliodas grapples with his demon heritage while the Ten Commandments wreak havoc across Britannia.

Despite the animation dip, the emotional weight and plot developments make this essential viewing. The season explores darker themes and moral complexities that elevate the narrative beyond typical shounen fare.

Season 5: Dragon’s Judgement (24 Episodes)

The grand finale brings everything full circle with spectacular showdowns and earth-shattering revelations. The Seven Deadly Sins face their ultimate challenge: the Demon King himself. Expect jaw-dropping battles, emotional farewells, and satisfying character arcs.

This climactic season delivers on years of build-up, though some fans wished for better pacing. Still, seeing beloved characters achieve their destinies makes it a rewarding conclusion. For similar epic anime conclusions, explore more anime content on TechnoSports.

Cursed by Light: Post-Series Canon (79 Minutes)

Set after the main series conclusion, this canon movie shows our heroes enjoying hard-won peace—until new threats emerge. It provides closure while introducing challenges that test the Sins one final time. The movie beautifully showcases character growth and relationships that developed throughout the series.

Grudge of Edinburgh: Bridging the Gap (Parts 1 & 2)

These two movies (52 and 53 minutes respectively) focus on Tristan Liones, son of Meliodas and Elizabeth, directly connecting the original series to its sequel. Tristan’s struggle to control his dual goddess and demon heritage creates compelling drama while setting up the next generation of heroes.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse: The Next Chapter (24+ Episodes)

The saga continues with Four Knights of the Apocalypse, following Percival and three other prophesied knights who will supposedly bring the world’s end. This fresh storyline features familiar faces while introducing an exciting new generation.

Season 2 is set to arrive on Netflix by late January 2025, promising even more adventures in Britannia!
