The Blue Road: Son Suk Ku and Nagayama Eita Hunt a Cross-Border Killer on Netflix

Two detectives, two countries and one deadly trail. Netflix has dropped fresh stills from The Blue Road, and they promise a thriller that is as tense between partners as it is with the suspects. Here is everything we know before it lands.

A Murder Case That Crosses Borders

The series follows two detectives tracking a string of murders across Korea and Japan. It is directed by Han Jun Hee, the filmmaker behind the D.P. series and the film Coin Locker Girl, so expect gritty, character-driven storytelling. In the stills, Kim Seok briefs a room of detectives in Seoul, while Inose works the back alleys of Tokyo on foot.

The Blue Road : Overview

Two Detectives, One Uneasy Bond

Son Suk Ku plays Kim Seok of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Nagayama Eita plays Inose of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. The stills show them working together, which hints at a bond that grows over the joint investigation. Another image, of the pair charging at each other inside a store, suggests that bond won’t come easily. Fans of buddy-cop dynamics should be excited.

The Faces Behind the Case

The supporting cast adds real menace and mystery:

• Seo Hyun Tae (Jung Jae Young): a powerful figure in Japan’s underworld. His business card appears in another character’s room, which signals a new phase in the case.
• Lee Yoon Ok (Kim Shin Rock): a Korean-Japanese businesswoman who is trying to help Kim Seok.
• Yoon Soo Kyung (Choi Sung Eun): an NIS agent seen pressuring Inose in an interrogation room. Her motives are the big question mark.

One still shows Kim Seok standing alone with a pistol amid a crowd of soccer fans. It suggests the investigation will not go smoothly. For more drama coverage, browse the latest entertainment stories on TechnoSports.
