Director Matt Reeves has been dropping confirmed cast announcements one by one on social media — and every single one has sent the internet into a frenzy. The Returning Cast

Robert Pattinson returns as Bruce Wayne/Batman. The former Twilight star was a controversial choice when first cast, but since The Batman (2022) he has earned huge respect from fans while going on a serious tear with acclaimed indie work, a Christopher Nolan blockbuster, and a Denis Villeneuve film — before returning as Batman in 2027.

Other confirmed returning cast members include:

• Colin Farrell as Oswald “Oz” Cobb / The Penguin — now established as the sole crime boss of Gotham following the events of The Penguin spinoff series.

• Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth

Koch, the German actor known for Homeland and Bridge of Spies, came as a surprise addition, with neither his casting nor his character having been previously widely reported.

What Will The Batman: Part II Be About?

Reeves has revealed the film will focus more on the character of Bruce Wayne since “the first is so focused on Batman.” He explained that in previous films, once past the origin tale, the story tends to become a Rogues Gallery narrative — but he never wanted to lose Robert Pattinson at the centre of the stories, and that is what they aimed for.
