The Apartment Job: Ji Sung’s Billion-Won Heist Reaches Its Climax

Just when you thought this scheme couldn’t get any bolder, JTBC’s The Apartment Job is about to prove otherwise. Ji Sung’s character is walking straight into a bank with an empty bag and a plan worth 17.8 billion won — and Episode 5 promises to be the moment everything either pays off or falls apart.

What’s Coming in Episode 5

The Apartment Job follows Park Hae Kang, a former gang boss played by Ji Sung, who runs for president of his apartment complex’s resident council purely to get access to its massive reserve fund. Along the way, though, he ends up genuinely bonding with his neighbors and uncovering real corruption within the complex — turning a con into something more complicated than he expected.

Having already won over the residents and secured the council presidency, Park Hae Kang now moves into the final phase of his plan. New stills show him prepping in a black van before walking into the bank with his loyal crew and an empty bag built to carry a massive amount of cash. At the counter, he introduces himself as the council president and calmly attempts to withdraw the entire 17.8 billion won reserve fund. The production team has described this episode as the true turning point of the scheme, delivering the tension and thrill of a full-blown heist film.
