Thalaivar Speaks: Jailer 2 Is Almost Done and the Kamal-Rajini Dream Film Is Coming in 2026!

If you’re a Rajinikanth fan, the last 24 hours just got a whole lot more exciting. The superstar himself dropped two massive updates straight from an airport interaction — and the internet is rightfully losing its mind.

Rajinikanth Breaks His Silence on Jailer 2

During a candid paparazzi exchange, Rajinikanth confirmed that Jailer 2 is nearly wrapped, calling it in the “finishing stage,” with the production house set to announce the release date soon. That’s the green light fans have been waiting for.

The sequel, once again directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, sees Rajinikanth return as the iconic “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian. The cast reads like a dream — Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar are back, while Mithun Chakraborty and Vidya Balan bring fresh firepower. SJ Suryah is reportedly taking on the villain’s role, and Shah Rukh Khan is rumoured to appear as a police officer in a special cameo. Nora Fatehi is also expected to set the screen ablaze with a special dance number.

For those tracking South Indian cinema updates, this is as big as it gets.
