The NFL Wildcard Weekend marked its presence into the list of memorable sports weekends when the Houston Texans made the fantastic win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The score at the end was 32-12, and the Texans are now advancing to the next stage. Defense was the game, and the Texans were the ones who took the most advantage of the bad day of Justin Herbert, the one that was intercepted four times through their passes.

NFL: Updates

Both teams were they first wrecking their heads how to score. The Chargers had a 6-0 advantage with two field goals. But then, the Texans quarterback CJ Stroud made an action that only skilled players make. He almost dropped that ball near his own end zone, but he managed to throw a long pass that changed everything. This made the way for a touchdown, and the Texan was leading by 10-6 at halftime.

It’s difficult to imagine a second half in which the Texans’ defense wasn’t at its highest level. They intercepted Herbert twice in a row, and they even ran one for a touchdown. The Chargers made efforts to lay hands on the advantage late in the encounter, but this was too feeble. Joe Mixon of the Texans sprinted over 100 yards, and Nico Collins helped win by catching the ball.

Ordinarily, Justin Herbert is a really good player, but this day was a real nightmare for him. He has thrown more interceptions in a single game now than all season long. It’s just an example of how unexpected playoff football can get.

This victory played a crucial role in the Texans’ career. They were outstanding with their defense; their young quarterback proved themselves in a calm manner and now, they make plans to reach to the playoffs. For the Chargers, it’s painful but also a part of learning, they will evolve from it. To the Texans, we can only wonder how far they can go now?
