Why Tesla Chose Esports for Indian Market Entry

Tesla’s Strategy	BGMS Platform Value	Mutual Benefits

Innovation Focus	Gaming integration in cars	Digital-first mindset alignment
Market Presence	National TV broadcast	Unparalleled visibility

Tesla recently entered India by opening experience centers in Mumbai’s BKC and Delhi’s Worldmark Aerocity. This esports partnership strategically targets India’s digitally-native youth audience, who represent Tesla’s future customer base.

Esports: India’s New Brand Magnet

The collaboration reflects esports’ mainstream appeal in India. According to the FICCI-EY Media and Entertainment Report 2025, brands investing in Indian esports will grow from 68 to 75 this year, driven by deeper youth engagement and larger tournaments.

BGMS Season 4 boasts an impressive sponsor lineup including OnePlus, Android, TVS Motor Company, Red Bull, Duolingo English Test, Swiggy, and Bisleri – proving esports’ ability to attract both global and domestic brands.

Gaming and Automotive: Shared Digital DNA

Tesla’s integration of gaming technology into their vehicles mirrors the digital-first approach of esports. Both industries prioritize software innovation, user experience, and technological advancement. This partnership showcases how automotive brands can authentically connect with gaming communities.

Akshat Rathee, NODWIN Gaming’s Co-founder, emphasized this synergy: “Their association reflects how esports in India has grown into a mainstream cultural and commercial platform that forward-looking brands want to engage with.”

National Television Amplifies Impact

As India’s only esports tournament with national TV coverage on Star Sports Khel and JioHotstar (5-8 PM daily), BGMS provides Tesla unprecedented visibility among target demographics.

This historic partnership signals a new era where global automotive brands recognize esports as a legitimate marketing platform, validating the industry’s commercial potential in India’s rapidly evolving digital entertainment landscape.
