Design and build quality
The Tefal Stylis Plus Beard Trimmer has a unique look with Silver colour on top and the lower black side has a rubber matte finish which will make it easy for you to hold it in your hand. This trimmer has a premium feel and is among the top list in this price range.
The build quality is also quite good and the material isn’t cheap. So you won’t have any fear about its build quality even if you accidentally fall it.
The trimmer has a LED indicator on the front which indicates red while charging. It also has an on/off switch at the front to make it easy to use. It also features an adjustable comb which can give you a cutting size of 1-10mm.
Overall, the design and build quality are quite satisfactory.
Performance and use
The blades used in this Tefal Stylis Plus Beard Trimmer is very sharp and skin-friendly. It comes with self-sharpening titanium coated blades which are built to last for 15 years, so you don’t need to worry about the blades becoming blunt.
One of the best parts while using it is that it works very silently with less vibration, so you can enjoy your everyday shaving. You get a total of 5 length settings from 2 mm to 10 mm. If you want an even smaller shave then you can remove the adjustable comb.
More importantly, there isn’t any skin irritation while using this trimmer which is one of the main concerns while using a new product.
However, if you prefer long beards and often shaves after a pretty long frequency, then you may face some problems while shaving. The long hairs get stuck in the adjustable comb which blocks the blades and prevents them from shaving. You need to periodically clean the hair stuck inside to enable smooth shaving. This can be an off for someone who doesn’t plan to shave regularly.
Another thing, there are some areas on the face that will require extra attention for shaving with this trimmer if you have long beards. As often a small portion of long hair may remain unshaved even after trimming. One thing you should note is that this is the case with the maximum of the trimmers in this price range.
But if you’re a person who regularly shaves, you won’t face this kind of problem. The Tefal Stylis Plus Beard Trimmer would be the perfect choice for you in this price range.
Battery life
Usually, a regular beard trimming session takes not more than 30 minutes so the battery life won’t be any problem. Tefal claims that this trimmer would give 90 mins using time after just 2 hours of charge. However, in regular scenarios, you can expect an uninterrupted service of more than 1 hour which would be more than enough. It charges with a USB cable which makes it pretty easy to charge.
