Believe is back. “Ted Lasso” Season 4 brings Jason Sudeikis back to Richmond — but this time, he’s coaching a second-division women’s football team instead of AFC Richmond’s men’s side. With filming spanning Kansas City and London, the show blends fan-favorite veterans with a wave of new signings.

New Faces Joining the Squad

Season 4 introduces several new cast members tied to the Lady Greyhounds and Ted’s expanding world:

Tanya Reynolds as Coach Alice Chilton, a new coach trying hard to project toughness while masking her softer side
Faye Marsay, known for Adolescence and Andor, joins as one of the new women’s team members
Jude Mack, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, and Abbie Hern round out the incoming roster, with character details for most still under wraps

Also returning: Andrea Anders as Michelle, Ted’s ex-wife, along with Annette Badland’s Mae and Becky Ann Baker as Ted’s mother, Dottie.

What’s the Story This Time?

According to the official synopsis, Ted returns to Richmond to take on his biggest challenge yet — coaching a second-division women’s football team. The season leans into the show’s signature themes of leadership and personal growth, with Ted and his new squad learning to “leap before they look.”

Notably, the setting shifts partly to Kansas City, giving the show a fresh geographic contrast to its usual London backdrop, even as Richmond remains central to the story.
