TECNO unveiled its AI-enhanced HiOS with a New AI assistant, “Ella”

At the recent MWC 2024 in Barcelona, Tecno debuted a number of mobile devices, such as a robot dog, multiple laptops, a Windows handheld gaming system with XR glasses, and a Pova 6 Pro smartphone.

As the initial excitement surrounding these items is waning, let us discuss another significant declaration made by Tecno: the impending AI features that HiOS devices will sport. Smart functions that are already present on other devices, such item deletion and live translation, will also be included in the new phones.

With “Ella,” Tecno is entering the AI assistant market, but this technology goes beyond simple music and alarm control. With regard to convenience and content production, this “all-around personal assistant” wants to be a one-stop shop.

The AI can adjust photographs to fit different areas, such as Southeast Asia, South Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and America, according to Tecno, who also mentioned this intriguing function. Tecno is clearly not favoritism and is striving to adapt to its presence in almost all markets; last summer, the business unveiled a smart function that “intelligently” modifies facial lighting in images.

Even with significant improvements in mobile image technologies over time, standard SoCs are still unable to produce genuinely amazing video. Currently available systems have limited full-scene HDR capability and still struggle to generate smooth, high-quality footage at night.

To solve these and other common pain points and satisfy the ever-increasing expectations of the modern content creator, TECNO PolarAce—which was designed for amazing capture—embraces the most recent AI technologies in addition to other industry-first and industry-leading technologies.

It is possible to alter pictures so that outsiders are not visible in the background, and phones can create stickers or cutouts from pictures. Tecno’s decision to join in on the fun is commendable, as this is already a thing on many other platforms and mobile operating systems. Searching for images with descriptions will also be possible through the phone’s gallery.
