The ACM Awards is heading back to Las Vegas in 2027, and the date has officially been locked in. Official 2027 Date Confirmed

The ACMs and Dick Clark Productions announced that the 62nd ACM Awards will return to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 16, 2027. The 2027 ACM Awards will take place on May 16, 2027, just a day shy of one year after the 2026 edition.

The Academy of Country Music will return to Las Vegas in 2027 for the 62nd Annual ACM Awards, slated for May 16, with tickets going on sale this fall.

This will be the sixth consecutive year that the show has streamed on Prime Video, and the second year in a row it has been held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. This will also be the second year in a row that the show has streamed on a Sunday night, which is regarded as the optimal night for awards-show viewing.

Venue — MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas

The 17,000-seat venue is located within the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. The arena opened in 1993 and is recognised for its beneficial sightlines provided within the bowl design, as well as its state-of-the-art amenities.

The show had been held at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, from 2023 to 2025 before returning to Las Vegas this past May. The return to Las Vegas in 2026 was an immediate hit with both fans and the local economy alike, making the decision to stay put for 2027 an easy one for organisers.

Streaming — Amazon Prime Video Returns

The awards have been televised since 1972, with Amazon’s Prime Video taking over the reins from CBS in 2022. In May 2025, it was announced Prime Video had paid for the rights to show the awards for another three years, which means it will be a regular fixture until at least 2028.

The show will stream live on Prime Video exclusively for a global audience across 240+ countries and territories from the world-renowned MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Host — Yet To Be Named

The host for the 2027 show has not yet been named. Shania Twain hosted the 2026 show. Reba McEntire had hosted the two previous shows.

Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks co-hosted in 2023, while Parton hosted with Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett in 2022. Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan have both hosted five ceremonies, while Reba McEntire has hosted an incredible 18 awards.

According to Greyhill Advisors, a leading economic analysis consulting firm, the 61st ACM Awards on May 17, 2026, generated an estimated $53 million in total economic impact for the Las Vegas region. This constituted an 85% year-over-year increase in economic impact compared to the 2025 show.

The event generated $15.7 million in increased employee earnings and supported approximately 290 full-time equivalent jobs across industries ranging from television production and event operations to hospitality and transportation. Visitor spending accounted for $24.3 million of the total economic impact and generated $7.8 million in worker earnings and 147 full-time equivalent jobs.

The evening’s highest honour, Entertainer of the Year, was awarded to Cody Johnson, marking the artist’s first time earning the coveted title. Ella Langley led all winners with seven trophies, setting a new benchmark for the most ACM wins by a single artist in one year.
