The Announcement That Broke the Internet
On April 1, Ryu Hwa Young took to Instagram with the caption “Love-stagram start,” sharing romantic couple photos — including hand-holding and kissing shots — without revealing her partner’s face. Many initially dismissed it as an April Fool’s Day prank, but more posts confirmed it was completely real.
The actress quickly addressed the overwhelming response, expressing gratitude: “I am deeply grateful for the greater-than-expected attention and warm congratulations. I would be grateful if you could continue to watch our journey with a warm gaze.”
A Love Built on Trust
What makes this story truly special is why she said yes. Ryu Hwa Young shared that she had always hoped to find a man like her father — and she finally did. That kind of love? It hits different.
She described her fiancé as not only a great cook but also someone deeply caring and sweet toward her — the kind of partner who makes you feel safe and cherished.
She also expressed a playful wish: to appear on a married couple’s variety show with her husband after the wedding. Classic Hwa Young energy!
