New unit, instant impact. Leeteuk and Kim Heechul’s freshly launched SUPER JUNIOR-83z has stormed iTunes charts worldwide right out of the gate — proof that even after years in the industry, this duo still knows how to make noise.

The Debut That Broke Charts

On July 13 at 6 p.m. KST, SUPER JUNIOR-83z officially debuted with their mini album “Promise,” led by its title track of the same name. The response was immediate — within a day, the album had already claimed the No. 1 spot on iTunes Top Albums charts across multiple regions.

Where “Promise” Topped the Charts

Region	Chart Position
Hong Kong	No. 1
Indonesia	No. 1
Macau	No. 1
Malaysia	No. 1
Paraguay	No. 1
Philippines	No. 1
Singapore	No. 1
Taiwan	No. 1
Thailand	No. 1
Vietnam	No. 1

That’s a chart-topping sweep spanning Southeast Asia, East Asia, and even South America — a genuinely global reception for a brand-new sub-unit.

What’s Next for the Duo?

Fans won’t have to wait long to see “Promise” performed live — SUPER JUNIOR-83z is set to hit the stage on the July 18 episode of MBC’s “Music Core.” It’s the next big milestone in what’s shaping up to be a strong rollout for the group’s newest chapter.

SUPER JUNIOR itself debuted back in 2005 and has remained one of the most influential acts in the K-pop industry, known for pioneering the sub-unit format that groups have widely adopted since (Wikipedia).
