Sunny Deol & Akshaye Khanna’s Ikka Is the Netflix Courtroom Thriller You Can’t Afford to Miss This July

If you’ve been waiting for a gripping Indian courtroom drama that hits both the heart and the mind, your wait is almost over. Ikka, starring Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, is officially premiering on Netflix on July 10 — and honestly, this one looks like the real deal.

What Is Ikka About?

At the core of Ikka is a morally charged question: What happens when a celebrated lawyer is forced to defend a man from his own past?

Sunny Deol plays that lawyer — someone at the peak of his career — who suddenly finds his world turned upside down when a figure from his history, played by Akshaye Khanna, walks back into his life. The reunion doesn’t just reopen old wounds; it forces Deol’s character to question everything he stands for. As personal loyalties and professional duty collide, every decision inside the courtroom comes at a steep price.

Tillotama Shome plays the formidable public prosecutor on the opposing side, while Dia Mirza brings emotional depth as a devoted wife and mother holding her family together through the storm.

Courtroom drama as a genre thrives on this exact tension — moral complexity wrapped in legal procedure — and Ikka seems purpose-built for it.
