SportsBaazi rebrands from BalleBaazi and launches new “Watch and Play” skill games

SportsBaazi, the prominent sports gaming platform in India, has recently undergone a rebranding, changing its name to demonstrate a strong dedication to transforming the landscape of sports engagement within the country. This strategic move aligns with their ongoing growth and expansion plans. Accompanying the rebranding is the introduction of a captivating marketing campaign called “LIVE Mein Hai VIBE,” aimed at introducing the exciting “Watch and Play” category of skill games on their platform, thereby enhancing user engagement.

The company has made a strategic choice to rebrand itself and enter the Watch and Play skill games category in order to offer new and thrilling formats and innovative user experiences that will transform how sports fans engage with and enjoy sports. SportsBaazi is getting ready to introduce a fresh identity that will immerse countless Indian sports enthusiasts in an immersive gaming experience during live events.

Commenting on rebranding to SportsBaazi and the launch of the “Watch and Play” category, Saurabh Chopra, Co-Founder and CEO at SportsBaazi, shared, “Our journey began with a simple yet powerful vision of making sports gaming fun while building a community of sports enthusiasts in the country. SportsBaazi developed the campaign called “LIVE Mein Hai VIBE” to shed light on the emotional journey of sports fans during live games and how their mood shifts based on the events that occur. These advertisement films accurately capture the dynamic essence of live sports experiences, featuring Zaheer Khan, a renowned cricket player from India. The commercials also introduce the “Watch and Play” category while announcing SportsBaazi’s rebranding efforts.

In the realm of sports, the “Watch and play” concept introduces a novel approach where fans get the opportunity to not only observe their beloved sports but actively engage in them through interactive skill games. This unique experience enhances fan involvement and allows them to delve deeper into the excitement of live sports events, challenging their understanding of the game and the dynamics of the players. Through a series of questions that appear on the screen, fans are prompted to predict the outcome of the next over or set, taking into consideration various factors such as the opponent and prevailing conditions.

During the Indian Premier League, SportsBaazi introduced two novel formats: Fantasy Wars and Stats Fantasy. Fantasy Wars involves a competition between two knowledgeable experts, who must evaluate and assess the likelihood of the superiority of their respective fantasy teams throughout the game. On the other hand, Stats Fantasy empowers users to participate and have a chance to win during the match by correctly answering straightforward questions about the live events occurring in the game.
