Spider-Verse Returns Early: Graphic Novels and Early Global

Spider-Verse fans don’t have to wait until summer 2027 for their next fix. Sony and Marvel have confirmed two new graphic novels, and several countries may see the trilogy finale days before the US. Here’s everything that’s been revealed.

Spider-Verse : Two New Graphic Novels Are Coming

Marvel and publisher Scholastic are releasing graphic novel adaptations of the first two films. They arrive weeks before Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse hits theatres.

It Follows a Franchise Tradition

Early international rollouts aren’t new. Into the Spider-Verse opened in several countries on December 12, 2018, two days before its US release. Across the Spider-Verse did the same in several markets on May 31, 2023, ahead of its June 2 domestic debut. The new listings suggest even more markets could get early dates in the coming months.

What Is the Finale About?

Beyond the Spider-Verse picks up right after the cliffhanger ending of Across the Spider-Verse. Miles is stranded on Earth-42, where he meets an alternate version of himself who became the Prowler. Miguel O’Hara’s Spider-Society hunts him, so he must travel across the multiverse to get home and protect his family.

He won’t be alone. Spider-Gwen is assembling a team of Spider-people to rescue him. The finale is set to wrap up Miles’ story, bringing back threats like Kingpin, the Spot and the Spider-Society.
