Some records take years to fall. This one took just 12 days. Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, has officially become the first Hollywood film ever to cross the Rs 500 crore gross mark at the Indian box office — and it’s still climbing.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day — Box Office
| Detail | Information |
|---|---|
| Milestone | First Hollywood film to cross Rs 500 crore gross in India |
| Days to Reach Milestone | 12 |
| Total Gross (excl. 3D) | Rs 504.25 crore |
| Total Gross (incl. 3D) | Rs 553.50 crore |
| Total Nett | Rs 416.25 crore |
| 2nd Tuesday Collection | Rs 10.25 crore gross |
| Total Footfalls So Far | 1.7 crore admissions |
| Projected Full Run | Rs 600+ crore gross, Rs 500 crore nett |
Why This Run Is Special
The film added Rs 10.25 crore gross on its second Tuesday, a 20 percent jump from Monday thanks to discounted ticket pricing. That steady momentum has kept it firmly on track for an extraordinary finish, with trade estimates pointing toward the week wrapping up around Rs 130 crore, pushing the gross total near Rs 520 crore excluding 3D collections.
Industry trackers have already classified Spider-Man: Brand New Day as an All-Time Blockbuster (ATBB) in India — a tier occupied by fewer than ten films since Jurassic Park’s 1994 release, including Titanic, Avatar, and Avengers: Endgame. With 1.7 crore admissions and counting, the film is also within striking distance of the rare 2 crore footfalls club, a milestone only Titanic and Avengers: Endgame have achieved in India.
What’s Next for the Spider-Man: Brand New Day?
The coming week brings fresh competition as Batwara 1947 and Awarapan 2 enter theatres, which could test how well Spider-Man: Brand New Day holds in its third weekend. Even so, its current trajectory suggests it could join an elite group of Marvel Cinematic Universe titles that have redefined Hollywood’s box office potential in the Indian market.
