South OTT Release: Three Screens, Three States: This Week’s Must-Stream South Cinema Lineup

Malayalam mystery, Telugu drama, and Tamil crime — this week’s South OTT slate covers serious ground. Whether you’re in the mood for a slow-burn thriller or a village-set redemption story, there’s a title landing on streaming that fits.

This Week’s Releases At A Glance

Uyir: A Search That Turns Personal

Roshan Mathew plays Ajeeb Rahman, a Kerala police officer still haunted by his younger sister’s childhood disappearance. When an unidentified woman is found in an abandoned well, his investigation quietly becomes personal, pulling him into a web of long-unsolved missing persons cases that mirror his own unresolved past.

Lenin: A Village, A Festival, A Feud

Set in 1990s Srirampuram, this Telugu drama follows an orphan named Lenin who returns home after serving time, only to find the village turned against him. The story unfolds around the village’s sacred Draupadi festival — a tradition that strictly prohibits violence — as Lenin navigates love, betrayal, and an old generational feud he never asked to inherit.

Vadhandhi Season 2: Justice Gets Complicated

The Tamil mystery-thriller returns with SI Moosa Raaza, freshly transferred to Madurai, who cracks a case only to realize he may have punished an innocent man. That guilt pulls him back into a tangled web of buried secrets he thought he’d left behind.

Each of these titles leans into morally complex, personal stakes rather than pure spectacle — a good sign for anyone tired of formulaic streaming fare this week.
