This new division, a first of its kind in South Africa, is an offering of safeguarding, monitoring and seeking accountability for the children of South Africa who have been or may be impacted by abuse in SPORT.

Our work on the Bob Hewitt (Former Professional tennis player and a Grand Slam title holder) historical case of sexual abuse, the Parktown boys’ sexual abuse and rape case by water polo coach (Collan Rex), and the ongoing Bryanston High School sexual abuse case by netball coach (Aleshan Moodley), have shown the challenges encountered by victims, prompting the establishment of this initiative to commit to making sport safe for children.
