Song Kang And Lee Jun Young Just Turned Piano Keys Into Chemistry

Some dramas need explosions to build hype. This one just needs two hands on a piano and a knowing glance. tvN’s Four Hands, Two Sonatas dropped a fresh teaser on July 1, and it’s already got fans hitting replay.

What The Teaser Shows

The clip opens with Choi Jeong Yo, played by Lee Jun Young, filming Kang Bi Oh, played by Song Kang, as he studies sheet music at the piano. Jeong Yo playfully grabs Bi Oh’s hand and waves it toward the camera — a small, easy moment that instantly sets the tone for their bond. The teaser leans into their growing friendship, showing the pair not just playing music together but also poring over sheet music and commuting home side by side.

Song Kang And Lee Jun Young: The Story Behind The Title

“Four Hands” refers to a piano technique where two people play a single instrument together — a fitting metaphor for a story about youths who meet in an arts high school and grow alongside each other into professional pianists. Their journey traces friendship turning into rivalry, and rivalry occasionally blurring into something more, all set against the backdrop of a demanding music world.

The newly released poster captures both leads’ hands resting on the same keyboard, paired with the line, “our breathtakingly perfect chemistry” — a tagline that’s already doing a lot of the promotional heavy lifting.

Piano duet performances like this have a long musical history of their own; the technique itself, known formally as piano four hands, has been used in classical compositions for centuries to create intimate, collaborative performances — exactly the vibe this drama seems to be chasing.

While fans wait for August, Lee Jun Young remains on-air in Reborn Rookie, and Song Kang can currently be watched in Beautiful Vampire.
